CBS developing medical spin-off for Fire Country universe

CBS is developing a medical spin-off for the "Fire Country" and "Sheriff Country" universe, set in the fictional California town of Edgewater. The untitled project, reportedly in early development, focuses on the medical side of first responders and would follow a team working alongside the existing firefighting and law enforcement crews. Showrunner Matt Lopez is set to executive produce, alongside co-creators Max Thieriot, Joan Rater, and Tony Phelan, as well as producers Jerry Bruckheimer and KristieAnne Reed.
