Former police officer Nicholas Peel sentenced to nine years in prison for rape.

Former Thames Valley Police officer Nicholas Peel, 55, has been sentenced to nine years in prison after being convicted of raping a woman four times and attempting to rape her. Peel, who served for 27 years, was convicted at Salisbury Crown Court in March and was also ordered to register as a sex offender indefinitely. He was previously struck off the force for gross misconduct.
