Ford's Theatre chair used by Lincoln's assassin donated to Springfield museum
A chair from Ford's Theatre, believed to have been used by an audience member the night Abraham Lincoln was assassinated, has been donated to the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield, Illinois.
The chair, acquired in the 1980s by the McCray family, is one of the few surviving original seats and will be displayed this summer as part of a special exhibit titled "The Second American Revolution."
