India and UK to double trade with duty-free access for Indian goods.
Signed in July 2025, the India-UK trade pact is set to take effect in May 2026, aiming to double bilateral trade.
It grants 99% of Indian exports duty-free access to the UK, while reducing tariffs on British goods like Scotch whisky and cars in India.
The agreement also opens India's market to certain consumer goods and includes a convention to prevent double social security payments.
