A Paris court has convicted Lafarge of paying nearly $6.5 million to jihadist groups, including ISIS, to keep a Syrian cement plant running during the civil war. The company and eight former employees, including former CEO Bruno Lafont, were found guilty of financing terrorism and violating sanctions. Lafarge, now part of Holcim, previously pleaded guilty in a U.S. case and paid a $778 million fine.
