Delhi bans new petrol two-wheelers from 2028 to reduce pollution.

Delhi plans to ban new registrations of petrol-powered two-wheelers starting April 1, 2028, as part of its draft Electric Vehicle Policy aimed at reducing air pollution. The city will first require new electric three-wheelers to be registered beginning in 2027. The government intends to support the transition by offering tax relief and exemptions for electric vehicles.
