BP agreed to acquire a 60% operating interest in three offshore Namibian exploration blocks from Eco Atlantic Oil & Gas. The deal, valued at $2.7 million, marks BP's return as an operator in the region and requires regulatory approval. Eco Atlantic will retain a stake alongside Namibia's state-owned oil company, NAMCOR.
