India approves increased cost for HPCL Rajasthan Refinery project.
India's Cabinet approved a ₹79,459 crore expansion of the HPCL Rajasthan Refinery, increasing costs from earlier estimates due to rising expenses.
The project, a joint venture between HPCL and the Rajasthan government, is set to begin operations in July 2026 and aims to reduce import dependence.
Additionally, the cabinet approved over ₹1.74 lakh crore in investments for the Jaipur Metro, hydroelectric projects in Arunachal Pradesh, and a fertiliser subsidy.
