Two teens face terrorism charges for failed explosives attempt near NYC Mayor's home.

Two teenagers, Emir Balat, 18, and Ibrahim Kayumi, 19, were indicted on federal terrorism charges after allegedly attempting to detonate homemade explosives near New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s residence on March 7. The suspects, who drove from Pennsylvania, were inspired by ISIS and planned to kill dozens of people, though the devices failed to detonate and no one was injured.
