Graham-Paige auto plant closed in Walkerville, Ontario, during the Great Depression.
In the early 1930s, the Graham-Paige Corporation, founded by Indiana brothers Joseph, Robert, and Ray Graham, opened a factory in Walkerville, Ontario, to manufacture elegant automobiles.
Originally successful in glassmaking and truck production, the brothers acquired the Paige-Detroit Motor Car Company in 1927 to launch their new car line.
Their high-performance Blue Streak model, featuring a 90-horsepower straight-eight engine, became emblematic of the era's glamour.
Despite strong initial sales, the Great Depression led to the closure of the Walkerville plant by 1935.
