Former Australian VC recipient arrested for Afghan civilian murders.

A former Australian soldier and Victoria Cross recipient, Ben Roberts-Smith, has been arrested and charged with five counts of war crime murder over alleged killings of unarmed Afghan civilians during his service between 2009 and 2012. The 47-year-old was taken into custody at Sydney Airport and faces life imprisonment if convicted.
