Texas Highway Patrol targets distracted driving with increased patrols.

The Texas Highway Patrol is launching its annual distracted driving enforcement campaign starting today and continuing through next Monday. Officers will increase patrols to target drivers texting, failing to move over for emergency vehicles, and other distracted behaviors. Last year, the initiative resulted in over 79,000 citations and warnings issued statewide.
