United Airlines raises first checked bag fee to $50, second to $60.

United Airlines is raising checked bag fees by $10 starting April 3, increasing the cost of the first bag to $50 and the second to $60 for domestic and select international routes. The hike, the first in two years, follows recent increases by JetBlue and is attributed to soaring jet fuel prices.
