The federal government has appointed Lieutenant (r) Sohail Ashraf as the new Chief Commissioner of Islamabad, replacing Muhammad Ali Randhawa in a bureaucratic reshuffle. Ashraf, a Pakistan Administrative Service officer previously serving as Secretary for Communication Works in Punjab, will now lead the Capital Development Authority.
