Trump credits Belarus for releasing over 750 political prisoners.
Former President Donald Trump announced on March 30, 2026, that over 500 political prisoners had been released in Belarus since May 2025, crediting his envoy John Coale and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko for securing the release of an additional 250 detainees.
