Singaporean Amos Yee granted $10,000 bail after deportation from U.S.
Amos Yee, a 27-year-old Singaporean, was granted a $10,000 bail on March 26, 2026, after being arrested at Changi Airport following his deportation from the United States.
He faces three charges for failing to report for national service medical screening and leaving the country without a valid exit permit between 2015 and 2026.
Yee previously fled Singapore in 2016, was granted asylum in the U.S., and was later convicted of child pornography and grooming, receiving a six-year prison sentence.
Under Singapore law, conviction for these enlistment-related offenses could result in up to three years in jail and/or a fine of $10,000.
