India has seen a massive rise in the 2026 QS World University Rankings by Subject, with 99 institutions featured—a 12.4% increase in entries. The country now ranks fourth globally in representation, with 265 entries improving their rankings and IIT Delhi achieving six top-50 results, including its first in Chemical Engineering. IIM Ahmedabad also made history by ranking 21st in Marketing. This surge marks a rapid expansion in India's higher education system over the past decade.
