Canada’s Trans Mountain pipeline, owned by the government, is advancing expansion projects to increase its capacity from 890,000 to 1.19 million barrels per day. The pipeline, operating at near full utilization, is conducting an open season to secure contracts and expects to add roughly 300,000 barrels per day through chemical additives and optimized pumping by 2028.
