Air India mistakenly flew a Boeing 777-200 LR to Vancouver instead of a 777-300 ER.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has ordered Air India to implement corrective measures after the airline mistakenly flew a Boeing 777-200 LR to Vancouver instead of the approved 777-300 ER.
The aircraft, which had been airborne for over seven hours, returned to Delhi after officials discovered it lacked necessary certification.
The regulator has also taken action against an airline official and requested a report to prevent future errors.
