Saskatchewan expands AgriStability to cover pasture rents and end-of-year feed prices starting 2026.
Starting in 2026, Saskatchewan’s AgriStability program will allow livestock producers to count pasture rental costs as allowable expenses if used for grazing, and will use end-of-year feed prices to value inventory changes, better reflecting market conditions like drought-driven price spikes.
The updates, approved with the federal government, aim to improve risk management, especially in dry regions, and were welcomed by rural groups.
Producers must enroll by April 30, 2026.
