Mahershala Ali has joined the second season of HBO’s "Task," playing Eddie Barnes, a seasoned DEA agent in Philadelphia whose team clashes with Mark Ruffalo’s FBI agent Tom Brandis. The season continues the crime drama’s exploration of moral ambiguity and institutional conflict, building on the first season’s acclaim. Created by Brad Ingelsby, the series returns with Ruffalo and Ingelsby reprising their roles and is set in Philadelphia’s working-class suburbs.
