High school students in two U.S. districts can enter the 2026 Congressional Art Competition with original artwork on future-themed or local topics, with the winner’s piece displayed in the U.S. Capitol.
The 2026 Congressional Art Competition is now open for high school students in Iowa’s 4th and California’s 27th congressional districts.
Students may submit original artwork on themes such as “The Future I Want To See” or district-specific topics, with entries due by April 13 or April 24, 2026, depending on the district.
Submissions must be sent electronically and include required forms.
The winning piece will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year and the student may attend a reception in Washington, D.C.
