Head chef Alex Prichard is leaving his role at Icebergs Dining Room and Bar in Bondi after seven years to open Sara Dining in Berry, NSW, in late May.
The new restaurant, located at Moraea Farm and developed with luxury provider Linnaeus Collection, marks a personal milestone for Prichard, who aims to create a small, ambitious dining experience near his home.
He will continue in a consultative role, supporting the menu and operations at Icebergs’ three locations, while Antonio Colonna and Brittany Smith lead day-to-day kitchen operations at Bondi.
Prichard helped maintain the restaurant’s Good Food Guide recognition and guided the team through a difficult period following a 2025 investigation into the former founder’s conduct, which included allegations of protecting his son amid multiple sexual assault claims—claims the founder denied.
The Icebergs Group confirmed the transition will not disrupt operations across its venues.
