The Prison Creative Arts Project, now in its 30th year, is showcasing over 800 artworks by incarcerated individuals across Michigan in its annual exhibit through March 31 in Ann Arbor.
The program, run by the University of Michigan in partnership with the Michigan Department of Corrections, offers weekly workshops in visual arts, writing, and theater to help inmates process trauma, rebuild identity, and express their stories.
