Providence hires Bryan Hodgson as new men’s basketball coach to rebuild program after last season’s 15-18 record.
Providence College has hired Bryan Hodgson, 38, as its new men’s basketball head coach, replacing Kim English, who was fired after the 2025-26 season’s 15-18 record.
Hodgson led South Florida to a 25-9 record in his only season, securing the program’s first NCAA Tournament berth since 2012 before a first-round loss.
Prior to South Florida, he coached Arkansas State to a 45-28 record over two seasons, including a Sun Belt regular-season title.
The hire, expected to be finalized under a five-year contract, marks a rebuilding effort for Providence as it enters its 100th season.
