India selects 137 deep-tech startups for global showcase in France, aiming to lead in innovation and sustainable energy by 2047.
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said India is advancing as a global innovation hub, highlighting the Bharat Innovates deep-tech pre-summit at IIT Bombay, where 137 startups were selected from over 3,000 applicants.
He emphasized India’s potential to lead in sustainable development, healthcare, energy, and digital solutions, aiming to become a net energy exporter and a key player in hydrogen and biomass technologies.
The initiative, launched during the India-France Year of Innovation, will culminate in a global showcase in Nice, France, in June 2026, with plans to institutionalize the program and expand its impact by 2047.
