Finnair orders 18 new Embraer jets and up to 12 used Airbus planes to modernize its fleet by 2027.
Finnair has ordered 18 Embraer E195-E2 aircraft with options for 16 more and purchase rights for 12, beginning deliveries in Q3 2027, to replace aging narrow-body jets.
The airline will also acquire up to 12 used Airbus A320 and A321ceo aircraft.
The E195-E2s, operated by regional partner Norra, will enhance connectivity, reduce fuel use and emissions, and support Finnair’s climate and growth goals.
The fleet renewal is part of a €2 billion investment plan through 2029, including engine support agreements with Pratt & Whitney.
