EasyJet to install lighter, more comfortable Mirus Kestrel seats on 237 new planes from 2028, boosting legroom, cutting fuel use, and reducing emissions.
EasyJet will install Mirus Kestrel seats on all new A320neo and A321neo aircraft starting in 2028, offering up to 2 inches more legroom and improved comfort via a pre-reclined design without changing seat pitch.
The lighter, 98% recyclable seats reduce aircraft weight by up to 500kg per plane, cutting fuel use and lowering CO2 emissions by an estimated 40,000 tonnes annually.
The deal covers 237 aircraft and supports easyJet’s sustainability and passenger experience goals.
