Chinese doctors from the 27th medical team in Sierra Leone prevented the amputation of a 42-year-old man who suffered a severe ankle injury in a tricycle accident, after eight days of untreated infection.
Led by Deputy Chief Physician Huang Xianzhe, the team performed emergency surgery involving debridement, realignment, and external fixation, with real-time knowledge sharing for local staff.
