A wedding venue floor collapsed in New Hampshire, injuring six people, with one airlifted and others taken to hospitals; investigation underway.

A floor collapse at the Preserve at Chocorua wedding venue in Tamworth, New Hampshire, on Saturday evening sent six people to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. during a wedding reception with about 140 to 150 guests present, when roughly half of the event floor fell into the basement. One person was airlifted to Maine Medical Center with lower-body injuries; others were transported by ambulance to various hospitals, including three to MaineHealth facilities. Multiple emergency agencies responded, and a school bus was seen at the scene, though its purpose was unclear. The road to the venue remains closed, and the New Hampshire State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the structural failure, with no fatalities reported.
