A small first-floor fire in a vacant home at 1232 S. Bonnie Brae St. was extinguished within 11 minutes, with no injuries or major damage.
Later, a grass fire near homeless encampments near the Arroyo Seco Parkway and northbound 110 Freeway was contained within 30 minutes, covering about 20 feet by 20 feet, with no injuries reported.
The causes of both fires remain under investigation.
