Swansea alleges Sky Sports biased coverage of its Welsh derby vs. Wrexham, favoring Wrexham due to its co-owners' commentary and promotional neglect.
Swansea City criticized Sky Sports' coverage of their March 13 Championship match against Wrexham, saying the club was treated as an "afterthought" despite being a key participant in the all-Welsh fixture.
The club’s chief executive, Tom Gorringe, claimed the broadcast favored Wrexham, whose co-owners Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds provided commentary, and that promotional materials failed to highlight Swansea’s involvement.
While Sky Sports maintained the coverage was fair and balanced, Swansea plans to raise concerns with the EFL about impartiality in future broadcasts.
