Saoirse Ronan won approval to build a larger, safer farmhouse on her Irish property after redesigning it to blend with the landscape and address structural issues.
Saoirse Ronan has received planning approval to replace her 125 sq metre home in Ballydehob, County Cork, with a 320 sq metre farmhouse-style residence after a 2024 rejection.
The revised design, by Clancy Moore Architects, relocates the home to a lower, less visible site, reduces its footprint, and integrates with the landscape using traditional farmyard elements.
The project, approved with 15 conditions, addresses serious structural and safety deficiencies in the original home and is intended as a long-term family residence for Ronan, her husband Jack Lowden, and their young child.
