Retired soldier Tarak Saha, BJP candidate, challenges TMC in West Bengal’s Swarupnagar SC seat amid promises of better infrastructure and development.
Tarak Saha, a retired Tripura State Rifles jawan, is running as the BJP candidate in West Bengal’s Swarupnagar SC constituency, a TMC stronghold, in the April 29 assembly elections.
Facing a triangular contest against TMC’s Bina Mondal and CPI(M)’s Biswajit Mondal, Saha blames 15 years of TMC rule for underdevelopment and pledges improved infrastructure, including railway connectivity and agricultural support, citing recent bridge inaugurations and potential Union Minister Shantanu Thakur’s backing.
The results are set for May 4.
