Over 750 cyclists joined India’s nationwide Fit India cycling event on March 22, 2026, to promote health and environmental awareness.
On March 22, 2026, over 750 cyclists joined the 66th Fit India Sundays on Cycle event in New Delhi, themed "Guardians of Nature" to mark World Forest Day and World Water Day.
Organized by the Petroleum Sports Promotion Board with support from India’s Ministries of Environment and Jal Shakti, the event featured a flag-off at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium led by forest guards, followed by pre-race activities and a 5-km race.
Winners included SK Prajapati and Kushmeet Singh (IOCL) in men’s categories, and Preeti Mane (BPCL) and Ranjana Anand (IOCL) among women.
Dignitaries, athletes, and corporate leaders were honored for promoting fitness and environmental awareness.
The nationwide event, held simultaneously across over 5,000 locations, reinforced the Fit India movement’s mission to advance health, sustainability, and community engagement.
