Ireland is reclaiming €89.1M in PUP overpayments, mostly from those who received funds while still working.
Ireland is recovering €89.1 million in overpayments from its Pandemic Unemployment Payment (PUP) scheme, which supported workers during COVID-19 lockdowns from 2020 to 2022.
Of the 950,000 applicants, around 65,000 may have received payments while still employed.
Over €50 million has already been recouped, with active efforts ongoing.
