The 2026 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo concluded with a record-breaking auction, as the Grand Champion Junior Market Steer, Zinger, sold for $1.5 million—the highest price ever for a steer at the event—set by Trinity River Land & Cattle Co. Jett Hale’s Reserve Grand Champion steer, Ryan, also set a new record at $750,000.
