flag A drone strike on a Sudanese hospital killed 64, including children, in a war that has killed over 2,000 and displaced millions.

A drone attack on Al Deain Teaching Hospital in East Darfur killed at least 64 people, including 13 children and medical staff, and hurt 89, making the hospital unusable. The World Health Organization said that the attack was part of more than 2,000 deaths in 213 attacks on health facilities since the war in Sudan started in April 2023. The RSF blamed the Sudanese military, but the military said they weren't involved and that the target was a police station nearby. The WHO and UN both spoke out against the strike, saying that health care should never be attacked. They also called for a de-escalation of the conflict, which has killed tens of thousands of people and forced more than 11 million to leave their homes.
