Ohio Supreme Court keeps Julie Kelley on GOP primary ballot with 51 valid signatures.
The Ohio Supreme Court unanimously ruled that Jullie Kelley will remain on the May 5 GOP primary ballot for Ohio’s 6th Congressional District, upholding a Stark County Board of Elections decision that she met the 50-signature requirement.
The court rejected a challenge by Rep. Michael Rulli’s campaign, finding the Stark County board acted within its authority by accepting affidavits supporting two printed signatures, raising Kelley’s total to 51 valid signatures.
Seven Democrats are running for the party’s nomination, with six on the ballot and one as a write-in candidate.
The primary elections are set for May 5.
