An Irish court ordered racing tipster Gearóid Norris to delete a defamatory article accusing businessman Robert Heneghan of threats, banning further claims and demanding evidence.
A Cork-based racing tipster, Gearóid Norris, has been ordered by Ireland’s High Court to remove a defamatory Substack article accusing businessman Robert Heneghan of threatening to shoot him and his family.
The court, presided over by Mr Justice Brian Cregan, mandated the article’s deletion by 5pm Friday and banned further similar claims.
Norris, who alleges a 53-second recording exists but has not provided it, failed to appear in court, prompting an ex parte ruling.
Heneghan, who runs Pro Sports Advice Ltd, denies the threat and says the article was a retaliatory attempt to pressure him into dropping legal action over multiple defamatory posts made since March 2025 on X, TikTok, and Substack.
The judge also ordered Norris to hand over any related recordings and appear in court next Friday.
