The pair faced temperatures as low as -40°C and wind chills near -36°C, leading to frostbite in Minchin’s toes and thumb, and Anderson’s fingers.
Both received medical treatment and were reported to be in good spirits.
The event, aimed at raising funds for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, was cut short due to extreme weather and safety concerns.
