An AMBER Alert issued after a shooting at a Spartanburg, South Carolina, motel on March 20, 2026, has been canceled following the safe recovery of two children, ages 4 and 6, who were abducted by 30-year-old Juan Carlos Morales.
The incident occurred around 11:36 a.m. at the Rodeway Inn, where Morales allegedly shot a person before fleeing in a white 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander with South Carolina tag 669BMX.
Authorities issued the alert shortly before 3 p.m., prompting a regional search.
Morales was apprehended in Towns County, Georgia, around 3:30 p.m., and the children were found unharmed.
The suspect remains in custody, and investigators are probing the motive and circumstances.
