Two Queensland cattle properties sold for $16.55M in a tick-free zone auction.
Two large cattle properties, Strathmore and Passchendaele, in Queensland’s South Burnett region, sold for a combined $16.55 million in an auction by Kellco Rural Agencies.
Strathmore, a 2,416-hectare property, fetched $10.75 million and features irrigated pastures, multiple water sources, and infrastructure supporting a carrying capacity of 570 cows and calves plus 350 adult cattle equivalents.
Passchendaele, a 1,553-hectare breeding property, sold for $5.8 million with similar water security, leucaena pastures, and a capacity for 350–380 cows and calves.
Both are in the tick-free zone, located 90–170 km from regional centers, and attracted four bidders and around 70 attendees.
