A Texas teacher was arrested for meth found in a classroom, charged with endangering a child and drug possession.
A Livingston ISD teacher, Amanda Stanzel, was arrested on March 13, 2026, after methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were found in a junior high classroom on March 12.
Police confirmed the substance was meth, and Stanzel, who had been hospitalized prior to her arrest, was charged with endangering a child and possession of a controlled substance in a drug-free zone.
She was booked into Polk County Jail on an $8,000 bond.
Authorities stated there is no evidence students came into contact with the drugs.
The investigation is ongoing, and the school district is cooperating with law enforcement.
