Terry Hammond sentenced to 8 years for trafficking 10.5 kg of cocaine and possessing a firearm.
Terry Hammond, 31, of Bridgeville, was sentenced to 96 months in federal prison for trafficking over 10 kilograms of cocaine and possessing a firearm in furtherance of drug crimes.
The charges stem from a March 2024 traffic stop where authorities found 10.5 kilograms of cocaine, a loaded gun, drugs, and nearly $16,000 in cash.
Hammond was arrested again in May 2024 while on state pretrial release, during which officers recovered additional drugs, fentanyl, and over $30,000 in cash.
He pleaded guilty in November 2025, and U.S. District Judge Jennifer L. Hall imposed the sentence, citing the dangers posed by armed drug traffickers and the importance of accountability.
The case was investigated by the Bridgeville Police Department and Homeland Security Investigations.
