Nigeria’s Binani Air Global Services has received its Air Operator Certificate from the NCAA, enabling it to launch scheduled domestic flights. The approval, granted on March 17, makes it the first female-led airline in Nigeria’s history, with founder Aishatu Binani Dahiru as the country’s first woman to fully own an airline. The certification was announced in Abuja, where officials praised the airline’s successful completion of rigorous safety and operational requirements. While specific flight details remain undisclosed, the airline operates two aging aircraft, one currently used for domestic charters.
