Gardaí have arrested a 19-year-old man in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash on the N24 near Grange West, County Limerick, on February 13, 2026, which killed 33-year-old nurse Áine O’Reilly while she was en route to work.

Separately, a single-vehicle crash on the R474 in County Clare early on March 19 left a man in his 20s with serious injuries; emergency crews used ladders to reach him after the vehicle struck a barrier on an embankment.
