Republic of Ireland has named 22-year-old QPR midfielder Harvey Vale, who qualifies via a grandparent and previously played for England youth teams, in its 25-man squad for the World Cup play-off against the Czech Republic.
Vale, who scored three goals and provided five assists in 24 Championship games, earned his FIFA clearance days before the call-up.
Uncapped goalkeeper Josh Keeley is also included.
Veterans Alan Browne and Robbie Brady return from injury, while David McGoldrick remains retired.
