Belmont University has hired Evan Bradds, its all-time leading scorer and current Duke assistant coach, as its new men’s basketball head coach, pending Duke’s conclusion of the 2026 NCAA Tournament.

Bradds, who previously coached with the Celtics and Jazz, will stay with Duke through the tournament before joining Belmont.
This marks the third consecutive year Duke’s head coach Jon Scheyer has lost an assistant to a head coaching role.
