A 16-year-old passenger, Thomas Basil, died on March 17 from injuries sustained in a March 6 crash in Barren County, Kentucky, after a deer struck a southbound 2013 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Jamie Morgan, causing it to cross the center line and collide with a 2022 Chevrolet Blazer.
The accident occurred near Scottsville Road and Austin Tracy Road, south of Glasgow, around 5 p.m.
The juvenile was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he passed away.
Kentucky State Police are investigating, with the deer strike cited as a contributing factor.
